Aiemmin battle royale -kahinoihin saatiin jo God of War -jörrikkä Kratos, sittemmin karkeloihin liittyi Halo-supersotilas Master Chief. Seuraavaksi hahmokööri laajenee The Walking Dead -universumista tutuilla Michonnella ja Daryl Dixonilla. Viimeksi mainittu kaksikko on saatavissa pelin sisäisestä kaupasta 16. joulukuuta alkaen.
Fortnite on saatavilla pc:lle, Macille, Switchille, Xboxeille, PlayStationeille sekä iOS- ja Android-laitteille.
